Break Up With Society

Society tells you to be yourself and love who you are,

Then judges you based on what you show him.

Skinny is beautiful and desirable,

But how dare you be anorexic or bulimic.

Altering and harming the body God gave you;

All to fit the impossible mold Society has made for you.

Your curves are alluring and set you apart from other girls,

But when you go out to eat:

He questions your decision when you order fries instead of salad.

Society will tell you how lovely your natural face and hair is,

Then sell you makeup and special shampoo;

To fix your "natural beauty" he loves so much.

Its a toxic relationship;

But you always go crawling back to Society,

No matter how bad he hurts you.

Break up with Society,

Be happy with who you truly are.

His opinion isn't the only one that matters.
