Calculus: A Prelude To The Professional Life

Calc 1 was a math class I took

It led to long hours in a book

My first test was bad

The workload was mad

It all left me quite a bit shook

I then had to learn how to study

A skill I hadn’t learned; I was cruddy

To be a teenager

I had to learn of the danger

Of long nights leaving eyes bloody

Gone are the days of horseplay

Of PlayStations and an easy schoolday

And Now to prepare

For a dull life affair

Of workdays stuck in replay

I love it! This poem is so relatable: calculus is definitely a step up in the academic world.
