You can wear your heart on your sleeve, but times have changed

The world has evolved and so have I.

My cleverness has peaked to the top of the mountain.

Just like the snow the covers the caps of natural beauty.

Just like that the soft colorless fabric that slides over my arm.

Hiding until you are worthy to see the revealed canvas.

The revealed canvas of my heart.

A canvas that is no longer blank because I have captured your trust.

In return you have captured the real me.

A person in which i have hidden.

Detached from society because I wore my heart on my sleeve.

I was the person that believed what my enemies said about me.

I was the person who shut down.

Who hurt herself before anyone could do the same,

but because of you I am the person who is able to live again.

And I thank you because

a blank canvas is never alive

unless you paint it.

Just as a person without a heart
