The Child Inside Me

"The Child Inside Me"

"Please don't forget me..."
says my innocence, my innerchild I grew to push away.
You still linger on to my restless thoughts like you always want to play.

"Please don't forget..."
You say again, you are dying to be heard,
I am too stubborn to even notice how--
you love to wander around my words.

"Please don't..." you tremble.
I am choosing what isn't best..
This game we play isn't fun anymore,
Just close yours eyes and get some rest.

"Please..." just One last plea,
but you are whithering away and far too weak,
I listen and it's just silent
I wish you still had the will to speak..

"..."
It's eerie now, but I question,
Why did I refuse to let you live?
It's my turn to whisper,
I hope it hears me...

"Please forgive..."
