Colorless Skies

Fri, 05/12/2017 - 09:11 -- DjGamer

The land in which I was born

Already fading and turning gray

I want to find peace and stop the war

I want to guarantee we live another day

Sometimes we're filled with so much hate

Discriminating against people just like us

When we are choosing to feel irate

We are choosing to just give up

Black is the color of the demons we hide

It's the color of the darkness in our sin

White is the color of glorious shining light

It's the color of our humaniity from within

Our world and country, so void of color

There's a way to stop it from falling apart

We must assist the needs of others

Love will be our brand new start

This poem is about:
My country
