Continue to Rise

I know that I am not perfect
Yes I have flaws, yes I sin
Although family can bring me down sometimes,
For they are supposed to be the ones I trust most,
I must remember the support system that I have
in everything that I do,
Even if it is only a handful.
Someone once said, "Family isn't always blood.
It's the people in your life who want you to be in theirs;
the ones who accept you for who you are.
The ones who would do anything to see you smile
[the ones who will always make sure that you are okay]
and love you matter what."
They could be people that I met not long ago
I do not know
But what I do know is that no matter who is here and who is not,
God will be the one that I can rely on.
I promise that day by day I will continue to rise over betrayal
I will soar over people's judgement and satanic attacks.
Why? Because I am dead to sin, according to Romans 6:2-12
as well as man's negativity toward or against me.
