A Critical Misspelling

NIMBY is limbo,

an escalator slinky

manifests attention deficit

of adults in America

addled and hysterical

while misty eyes on foggy moors

reminisce on marble

and concrete valley forge.

we see freedoms, call them twisty-ties

we see demons on our screens

and exercise with them

instead of… oh, never mind

to believe its close enough

simply is not good enough

not good enough

not good enough
