Cruel World...

Location

She smiles, but I can still see her pain.

She wonders if there's always sunshine after the rain.

She pretends that she's happy, but I know she's not.

Her pride runs deep, and she's been through a lot.

No family or friends; She feels all alone.

But she has her mind set; She's in her zone.

Life has toughened her heart and made her hard to reach.

She hopes her story'll have lessons to teach.

She used to be afraid to be herself.

But she got tired of being put on a shelf.

She arose from that shelf and went off on her own.

She's writing her destiny; The ending's unknown.

Who is this girl? So hurt and misjudged.

Why, she is me, but I hold no grude.

The world has been cruel since before I was born.

Full of the twisted, sick, and torn.

But have faith in me, all ye who read this now.

I will make it big; Some way , some how.
