Daily Routine

Screams I hear every morning

I wake to the clouds storming

The lightning fills the air

I try to say my silent God prayer

amongst the clouds trying to see

why they can't agree

All they do is fight

It was terrible this one night

when the thunder rolled in

I think to myself when

When has anyone been here

I just wish all the thoughts and lies would disappear

All the while my Dad is in prison

I hope he knows he needs to be risen

from his ways

because he ruined someone's days

they will be haunted by him

I'll just keep trying to swim

through all this chaos and madness

I hope that someday we can all see past this
