Darkness

A piercing stare if there ever was one

Aiming, staring straight into your soul

Reaching for it

Grasping it

It reaches out, closing its fingers on morality

There will come a day

A day when it shall be bathed in blood

Dripping with that dark, gory radiance

This blood covers us all

Wrapping our bodies in red

Ribbons of iron swirl

Cruelty is everywhere

Staring at your heart

Covering your mind

And covering, no, bathing

The world in that crimson colour

It lies in each of us

It is

The darkness of the human heart
