Dear Mr. President,
Dear Mr. President,
Remember that your pen holds great power
And, each and every hour,
Many could suffer as a result of your decrees.
I believe every citizen agrees
That, in our country, much must be done,
But patiently and diplomatically this war must be won.
Dear Mr. President,
Count all as friends, but be ever on your guard.
The necessity of civility and hospitality do not discard.
Build bridges instead of walls,
And learn that women are not dolls
To be carelessly tossed about.
They are fire within, beauty without.
Dear Mr. President,
Care for the earth.
It existed long before your birth
And will continue to exist even after you are gone.
Let us not look on
As our home falls apart and turns to waste.
Save us from the fate of a nation ruined, desolate, and disgraced.
Dear Mr. President,
Realize that diversity is an asset
And not merely a “crime” to abet.
We all bleed the same crimson shade
But only some by direct attack are assayed.
Give protection where it is due;
In turn, the people will protect you.
Dear Mr. President,
Let the worship of wealth never pass your lips, exalting earthly riches and greed;
Always to your God alone remain steadfast, honest, and true.
Dear Mr. President, please help your people in this time of division and great need.
Dear Mr. President, I want to believe in you.
