Dear my greatest fear
Dear my greatest fear,
I lie awake
Thinking,
Agnozing,
Analyzing.
Afraid they'll know,
Afraid of their hate.
I fear fear,
Fear rejection.
Fear they'll know,
All the secrets I try so hard to keep.
Afraid they'll see me,
The real me.
Not their sculpted image,
The one who lies beneath,
The one unafraid to be herself.
Unafraid to show my voice.
Unafraid to scream,
To feel,
To think everything I bury beneath their expectations.
Dear my greatest fear,
One day you will not control me
