Deeper need

Philippians 4:11-12

11 Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content:

12 I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things

I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

Emptiness besets me … nothing more to say

This is kind of scary at the beginning of the day.

Do I need some others to trigger thoughts in me?

Is that what binds together ... “me” and other “me’s”?

Are we interwoven … the entire human race?

Is life not possible for one without the other?

Does a friend need a foe … as love needs hate

to understand the difference or should we even bother?

Does sunshine need rain ... and lies to observe truth?

Does health need sickness and intelligence the dumb?

Does the bright need darkness ... and joy the blues

to travel as one into serenity ... the successful and the bum?
