Defeating Haiyan

A world away, what can I say?

Waters once blue, what can I do?

Hark! Help is on its way!

You can make it through!

Be not afraid of this squall, you have the attention of us all

We send our prayers and love, like a sacrosanct dove

Across treacherous lands and seas, and the ocean breeze

Forget your fears and rest, while the dove rebuilds your nest

Life is precious and good, this is understood

It is not to be stolen or taken away, I pray

Natural disasters bring remorse in their course

The Filipino life has been wrought with strife

The nations have witnessed this tragedy, in truth

This cyclone that stole your elders and youth

Attention must be paid to delivering exigent aid

The world shall respond to your cries, hope will arise

A world away, this is what we say!

Waters once blue, this is what we'll do!

Hark! Help is on its way!

You can make it through!
