Desire to Inspire

Desire to Inspire

What Inspires me they ask?

If you think long and hard about it, it makes it more of a task…

So, when I think of Inspiration and what it means to me

I think of Life and for that I am relieved

You look around and so many are losing their lives

So, to be alive one should consider it a prize

Every time you open your eyes

And what to do with your time in the day is for you to decide

86,400 seconds to be exact

It’s not that I am keeping track

But I am hoping to put it all in perspective

Life and death are synonymous and connective

I am hoping to make a difference

Leave an impact and be effective

So, if life itself is not enough motivation

Then, maybe the thought of death will provide you some much needed inspiration

One day you are here and the next you are gone

Accolades, awards, education, and titles is apart of who you are

Legacy is what you leave the world once you have died and moved on

So, when asked what inspires me, I say it loud, Life, living right now, making decisions that will impact my tomorrow.

Tomorrow is no guarantee

Death has no age yet brings much sorrow

So today, I will use each moment as a means to inspire my tomorrow!
