Desperate Love

Can you really, truly love someone

If they have a good day without you

And you snap and say “That’s it, I’m done!”?

Can you truly love someone

If you’re mean back to them

But you’re “not the only rude one”?

Can you really love someone

When you ignore them for days

And say “I might not be the one”?

Do you truly love someone

When you hurt them over and over again

Hoping this is a battle you’ve won?

Do you really love someone

If all the two of you do is fight

But you don’t want to be alone?

So then, at the end of the night

You make the decision to stay

You tell him that you love him

Because that makes everything okay
