The Disease of Racism

I yearn for change
My heart's rearranged
Because it's been broken too many times

Are these signs of the times?
No accountability for crimes?
We're not all equal

It's magnitude is depressing
Souls are distressing
It's presence is prevalent

It continues to contaminate
It continues to alienate
The issue is more than just problematic

Why can't it be contained
Why won't it be maintained?
How is it still ongoing?

It's on my mind
All the time
The disease of racism
