Do I Pledge Allegiance?
When it came to you
my allegiance would past the test
Without thought I'd say you're the best
No doubt or second guessing
I would even say you're a blessing
Then I saw the truth
you always hid the proof
behind cover stories
portrying yourself to look better to other countries
But on the inside we scream
"It's not what it seems"
You're plagued with the deaths of innocents
And yes racism still exists
You say I have FREEDOM
But I'm just another target
Ready Set Aim Fire
So as I contemplate
I think
Was America ever really great?
