Don't Leave Me

Location

If I were to lose you now

I don't know where I'd be.

You took your last bow

On the stage where you once felt free.

My tears would become streams,

With horrible feelings; the colour black.

But I would sit there endlessly,

Waiting for you to come back.

I would tread this world aimlessly,

My life full of shattered dreams

If I were to lose you now.

I would plant a tree in you honour.

One that magnificently bloomed in the spring

And even more beautifully wilted during the winter.

I would be full of fawners

Trying to hold onto the memory of you,

Coming to the next best thing,

To give you one final adieu

Before the longing of your presence becomes bigger.

I would write you songs

Expressing everything I've held in for so long.

But, you wouldn't be able to hear it

Because you're gone,

Just like the never ending cycle of the moon ascending into dawn.

These feeling would be just as hard to admit

Since you wouldn't be able to hear it.

Every lovely thing I would do from now on

Would be in your name.

My goal is to proclaim

The beauty and grace you once had.

To inspire others to act upon

And lend a helping hand.

There are so many things I would do

If I were to lose you now.

Don't leave me here

To sit and grieve.

Please don't disappear.

I have to keep you near.

You just have to believe

That you are meant for so much more.

You inspire.

You love.

You soar.

You are one on the people I admire.

You are like a diamond in the rough.

So please, don't leave me now.
