Dont Let it Consume

Don't sink into darkness

Don't settle in the sad

Letting yourself be consumed By it can change the best of us to heartless

On the outside everyone else thinks you're glad

But the select few see right through regardless

You'll deny it left and right while everything begins to add

The wall goes up but this time you don't think anyone can deal with its hardness

So you hide yourself even from the closest comrade

You believe that no one will know the extent of your pain because of the garnish

It's only on the exterior though so if willing they can see you're sad

All of a sudden someone bust through the wall you can't imagine the power they had to harness

You're scared of what they bring you so you become a nomad

Though they are truly harmless

And not only after seeing you unclad

They admire your weirdness

So don't sink in the darkness

And don't settle in the sad
