Eagles

The strongest of birds

Learn through pain

It's the type of parenting

That makes their children learn

What fear is

So they can conquer it

And that's what parents do

They don't hide their children from

Evil, malis, and struggle

They expose it

Then help them through it

The eagles bring their chicks to enormous heights

The chicks

who have only been in the world for a few days

Unable to fly

Yet

And as great eagles bring the chicks up to the sky

They drop them

Yes

You heard me right

They drop them

Until they learn how to fly

It's a struggle

The babies are face to face with death

Until their mother

With love

Swoops down to catch them

Only to drop them again

And again

And again

Until

Those tiny wings

Can soar
