Early Termination

Sun, 02/09/2014 - 22:05 -- Poetess

And so it ends thus,

Abruptly

with no

warning

at all.

And I,

quite strangely,

feel a

sudden loss.

It was quick like an

accident

interrupting another action.

It was as swift

as a heartbreak;

I

didn't anticipate it

until it was in the

past.

It was as devastating as a hurricane

--

one

feared by the neighboring regions for the sheer

devastation

it would unleash unto their neighbors.

And though,

in its

fleeting

ephemeral lifetime,

not much was accomplished,

not many were

affected,

I miss it all the same.
