The Emptiness in Distance

Sat, 12/06/2014 - 23:37 -- blase

I can't tell if you like this,

I don't know if you care.

In the insurmountable distance you've put between us,

I find an emptiness I cannot bear.

Just short of conclusion, I fell.

My life met the ground with digressionary prophecies.

Drifting away from what I know to be true is hell,

for I've changed to despise such fallacies.

I won't hold on to what is left of longing.

I won't dwell in this perpetual flogging.

So hold close, or wander free,

either choice is my saving remedy.
