Endurance

No food, empty bellies

Through the window, the moon was frowning

The intense cold, still fierce

No one would care, life had drained out

The cold stung, the slashing wind made it difficult to see

Long suffering, another day

Don’t let it get you down, the bottomless gaps

They have to be filled

After many years, people manage to live

The sun climbed high, freedom

A day without a dark cloud, nothing to lose

We’ll survive
