Enjoy Life

Life is not always easy,

There are moments where you feel so down.

It isn't fair,

But there are more reasons to smile than to frown.

Chronic illness fights hard,

It'll make you depressed and knock you to the ground.

You need to get up though,

The person you were before this is not the person I found.

You may not realize it now,

But this illness has made you a better person.

It's been a bumpy ride,

But your cuts heal rather than worsen.

Every day is a battle,

But no one ever said it would be easy.

Life is what you make of it,

Even though that sounds kind of cheesy.

Be thankful for the life you have,

There are many who have it worse.

Don't resent you stay in a hospital,

Just remember to thank your nurse.

Don't live in fear of the future,

Enjoy the present.

You never know where your life is headed,

So don't end a relationship on the account of a simple argument.

Be happy with your life,

For it is a gift.

Live in the moment,

But don't let your mind drift.
