Envy's Fury

the ocean sways its waters vastly, consuming most the earth.

but does the ocean ever question, its value or its worth?

do you think she ever envy's the creek, for her clear complexion?

or is she hopelessly dreaming, of someday achieving perfection.

does the creek desire to obtain, the depths of the river?

does she cry for what she cannot have, in hopes that someone will deliver?

does the river dream about having the width, of the lake it flows into?

does the exhausting desire for perfection, maker her question what she knew?

does the lake weep in its wish, to be as vast as the ocean?

or does she spend every second, gripping to this notion?

now when compared to the world, metaphorically

does the ocean, creek, lake, and river seem similar to you and me?

are we not all evaluating every flaw we posses?

are we not guilty of counting imperfections, this world says makes us less?

hours spent imagining, on things that will never come to pass.

the horror of this conviction, is its the normality of the mass.

now what would our world become, if the ocean became a creek?

finally obtaining, the obsessive image it has always tried to seek.

if the ocean gave up on its ultimate purpose, what would we do?

the point im trying to convey, is dont give up on you.
