Even little birds ...

Genesis 3:14

14 The Lord God said to the serpent,
“Because you have done this,
cursed are you above all the wild beasts
and all the living creatures of the field!
On your belly you will crawl
and dust you will eat all the days of your life.

Even little birds …

Whistle now little bird ... show me you’re alive

Get some attention or have you lost your voice?

You were made somehow to show the strife

that seems engrained in nature far beyond our choice

You argue with your partner ... you even fight for food

Even when not hungry you push and shove your way

It is kind of funny how “The Fall” affected you

as humanity left its mark and took your joy away

Like a shark in the park you’re out of your element

Like a flea in the sea your chances are all gone

In the day or in the dark ... a timeless detriment

to be here or not to be ... in the cage where you belong?
