Facade

So many people in one place

So many secrets hidden in each soul

You see the body, the expressions, the façade

Everyone’s faking something

We’re all saying nothing

There may be a hint, a splinter, a crack, a cut, a break, a clue

To see what really is inside

We only get a peek and we never fully understand.

A person who is standing may be fainting, falling, crumbling, drowning

In sorrow

In pain

In stress

Some people lock it inside

Building up the pressure to look normal

Some let it fly

No use keeping a wild fire contained.

If the land was meant to burn,

Then let it burn.

We aren't who we say we are.

Only you know who you'll really be.
