A Fairytale

I knew you,

Once upon a time,

And now you’re back…

My heart in knots

The memories, beautifully painful

I could taste your presence

Yet you were too far away

Your words my heaven

Your love my dream

But you were another’s,

You didn’t want me

Yet here you are

Right in front of me…

Tell me,

Would you care if I told you what all my heart said?

Why did you return?

You read my letter?

Are you here to watch me cry?

To make fun of my heart’s desires?

You lips met mine…

Your birthday’s gift

Your love is true?

Your heart is mine

Do you promise to me?

I’ve wasted a year

Simply waiting for you,

I’ve gotten so smashed

So bruised

I’ve spent a year,

Trying to lie,

To say I don’t love you

A year of you gone…

You never spoke to me again

And now you kiss me again,

My tears now on your cheek

You tell me that you love me

That a year took you by

A year you spent wishing to bring me back

That the other is gone,

Out of your life

I could cry forever

Forever in your arms

You hold me tight

You kiss my scars

My tears rain harder

You want me

You say you can’t lose me again

You put me down from your grip

You land on your knees

A diamond ring

I drown in tears

My heart for you

Yes on my lips

Just before they touch yours

Yes…

Yes…

Once upon a time, I knew you

Happily ever after’s came

And now this is our end.
