Fairytales

A portal to the soul
Is a gesture with a goal
A portal to the mind
Is a gesture meant to find
A portal to the heart
Is a gesture worth a start

The goal to find a start
A journey made for you
With a bag full of gold,
And a glass slipper too,
I made my way downtown
To find the other shoe

With red around my neck
The cape flowing wild
I look around the corner
And see nothing but a child
A child in disguise
With looks that far from mild

Not too far from hell
I'm greeted by your smile
Down there on the castle wall
With you painted on the tile
I search and cannot find
But I'll go the extra mile

Looking far and wide
Not willing to bid adieu
I stop there in my tracks
Just to enjoy the view
'Cause you're standing in the sun
Holding the matching shoe.
