Fallen Heart

You meant so much to me

And I built my world around you

You were that crystal light

That makes me see in the darkest night

I didn’t know there was a cheating heart

Behind that lovely smile,

Each time you called my name

I felt the warmth in your voice

You were the diamond in my crown

Until I read your four-page letter.

There’s a sunset to every romance

But I didn’t know it would set this soon

You left me without remorse or sorrow

Only best wishes for tomorrow

Now I’m left behind like the morning dew

To melt away from your love

It hurts to know you’ve been cheating all along.
