False Identity

I love nice things, but that doesn't mean I steal.
I dislike some people, but it doesn't mean I kill.
I live at home, but that doesn't mean I don't pay a bill.
I like to relax, but it doesn't mean all I do is chill.

Sometimes I stay at home, it doesn't mean I'm lazy.
Sometimes I scream,but that doesn't mean I'm crazy.
I have a big family, but that doesn't mean that I have a baby.

I like to be colorful, but that doesn't make me ghetto.
Yes I have a phone, but that doesn't mean you it's metro.
I like to dance, but it doesn't mean I dance in stilettos.

My complexion shouldn't place me in a category before I introduce myself.
My dark skin is what makes me an inspiration to others.
The force of the melanin running through my veins can be seen through one's self.
And you can see us standing one by one, sisters and brothers.
Don't give us any false identity until you get to know us.
But it may be to late because you're killing us.
