Familiar

Wild hair, breezy air

even my thoughts can take me there.

seagulls cry, time flys by

in the distance, I hear the tide.

Long, crazy grass

glittering sea glass.

The ocean soothes the soul,

not even the moon can resist its magnetic pull.

Sandy shores, kelpy floors

adventures waiting beyond the waves.

Beautiful and deadly, all too familiar.

We take comfort in the things we know best.
