Fighting...

The sky is determined by the weather.
Sometimes its clear and blue
Which makes us happy too.
But in a flash the sky is gray
Clouds have swallowed up the sun.
Thunder booms and lightening cracks
Splintering parts of the sky.
Leaving a gloomy gloom.
Sometimes burning pretty things
Happy things too.
Starting a chain of eternal blaze.
Making children cower in fear
Covering their precious  ears
Blocking out the sounds.
Rain falls down.
Touching the ground.
Reminding us of tears
Flowing down our cheeks.
Wind whips by
Angry and mean
Screaming words of pain
Snow falls down.
Touches the ground
Freezing
And numbing
The feelings inside
The storm continues raging on
Repeatedly
Day after night
Till finally
Yes finally
A breeze blows by
Whispering quietly
"It will all be fine in the morning."
"Just wait until the morning..."
