"First" Kiss

My sweet first kiss

Of woman’s lips

Left my mother worried

I told her it meant nothing

But in that eternal moment

It meant the world to me

I said I’d never do it again

So I hid my so called sin

From her eyes

And those of god

I mapped her lips

Pressed her close

Trying and fighting

Not to fall on bent knees

and say my hail marys

I continued all the same

My sweet first kiss

Of woman’s lips

I became who I am.
