First-Second Daughter

Even with seven chidren

I'm your eighth

I'm not related

but I am yours

I am not a replacment

nor are you to me

but you're my second father

and always will be.

I can trust you

to take care of me

to feed me when I need it

and help when I'm scared

uncomfortable

and lonely.

You helped in situations that needed it

and raised my best friend.

So thank you

for eleven years of another father

eleven years of help

eleven years of being there

eleven years of another kid

you never asked for.
