Frederick Douglass

 As he was carried

And laid to rest

We remembered the works

He did that were best

Oh the great Frederick Douglass!

Who spoke for his race

Dropped dead from a heart attack

Right in his wife's face

His words live

Though Civil Rights activist

Who will never give Racism the upper hand

Maybe I might

Become an activist

And join the fight

Against racism
