Friends Stay. The Selfish Leave.

I check for a read

Cause then at least I’ll know you’re not dead.

I wait for a reply,

Waiting makes me want to die.

I kiss your face,

And think it’s fate.

I hold your hand,

And travel to a wonderland.

I look at you - so beautifully rare.

All you do is glare

I’m caught in your snare.

My hearts enduring all it can bare

It knows this love isn’t fair.

It’s not supposed to be shared.

It knows we’re defendants in the chair

It’s not going to end in tears.

Exes, always are followed by oh’s.

Oh he did that?

Oh he went there?

Oh he doesn’t care.

Oh he doesn’t care where I’m at

Or how I feel.

Oh he doesn’t think this is real.

I believe in you. Dear she,

Don’t abandon he.

Don’t let go of me.

Don’t regret feeling glee.

At my presence.

Without you I’m a peasant.

Pleasant,

Is my life,

When I think of you as my future wife

Don’t fight, no need for strife.

Happy to be a friend.

Here for you for life.

Here for you till the end.
