goals

Why do we wish on a shooting star

When it only leads to heartbreak?

Why do we flip the coin

in hope that we wont make a mistake

Why do we pray to a god

That might not be there

Why do we fight in wars

When we know we dont stand a prayer

There is so many questions that reagularly rack my brain

Even when I convince myself that its not important I go insain

So I ponder the options, that keep me awake

And I think of the kind of woman that i will make

A mother, a nurse. a lawyer

A fighter, a beautician, a lover

As long as I keep my goals in check

my childrens goals I will help set

For any woman deserves a fighting chance

To teach they're sons and daughters how to dance

To fly on the winged creature called freedome

and never be forced to dance on freedomes wings alone
