Golden Wings

She flies with gold wings,

down a road full of dust.

Her eyes growing full of dusty cloud.

She travels far,

with smokey eyes.

She's looking for a place to call home,

when the dust turns her blind.

Her golden wings turn to rust,

where the dust had worn.

She imagines rainbows and butterflies,

then ventures to a far away place.

It turns out home,

was her resting place.

When the clouds spread apart,

and she sees the light.

God lays his hands on her wings,

and they shine gold so bright.
