Goodbye, Goodbye

When the birds stop singing

And the grass is dry

When the heat is overwhelming,

Goodbye, Goodbye.

Never again seeing,

or hearing the cry,

Of the wolf howling,

Goodbye, goodbye

The great trees are falling,

They rot where they lie,

The forest is dying,

Goodbye, goodbye

The fish are swimming,

Streaming by,

Down the river screaming

Goodbye, goodbye.

The people following,

Hoping home is nigh,

From the love leaving,

Goodbye, goodbye.

Will we be living?

When we've made them cry,

When we've finished saying

Goodbye, goodbye.

Ye still proudly marching?

Go cleanse in the lye!

Already you're bathing

To your neck high.

But I guess it is nothing,

We might as well die,

Our mother is sighing,

"Goodbye, goodbye".
