Grandma and Alcohol

Open one eye a blinding light
Open the other to indignity and guilt
Although no longer there in a reasonable state of mind
You are still there in existence but nowhere near to be find

One mistake
That is all it took
One too many sips and lost be you
Like various other few

Drunken in the daylight and all through the nighttime
Overpowered and losing to a vicious fight
Harming others without care along the way
There is nothing left to say

Now no longer can you see the light
Everything has turned to night
No longer does it matter,
But simply to satisfy the ONE thing that will matter

So lost and uncontrollable
Left with no power of will.
You dear grandmother lost everything
One too many sips that buried you ten feet underground.
