Gray

It is black and white

Because we don't allow the colors to mix

We don't let the gray come forward to blow us a kiss

We don't know what love is cause we're fighting for power

But power means nothing

All it does is devour

Our minds are so closed and dim

We stay in the shallow end because we're too afraid to swim

But I don't want to stay in the dark because there's so much to see

Just open your mind to all the possibilities

Hear the wind in the trees

And as the sun rises listen to the birds as they sing

Open your window sometime

It's time to dive in and swim

Explore the world on a whim

Because the monsters hidden in the dark

Aren't as bad as they seem

We've formed this idea in our heads

That shames us from following our dreams

Why fear the unknown when that's really all that there is

Who knows what they're doing

When they first birth their kids

Life's an adventure

Why approach it with caution

What will you choose when you're given the option?

Mix the colors on your palate

And don't be afraid to get gray

Because you don't want to look back

And wish you had started today
