Growing up gay.

At 10,

I thought I was big, And tall.

At 11, I had a crush on my best friend.

I told her, and then felt small.

At 12, I Came out. To all.

By 12 and a half,

I lost most of my friends.

I moved, and had many loose ends.

People told me it was just part of growing up.

Never, had I felt more shut up.

At 13, I was somewhere new,

I made new friends, had a new crew.

I was scared at first, and a bit blue,

But i found my way, because my friends were true.

At 14, my life was pink and green.

I was gay and proud,

Life wasn't what I dreamed.

I dated this girl,

But it fell apart,

I was prideful, and not very smart.

Even so, I learned better,

I lifted myself, and grew clever.

My life grew orange and yellow and redder.

I grew up with the world around me,

And made better choices,

Better people surround me.

My life took a turn,

And I was happier.

And it was all because,

Of a little doubt,

Which faded when I came out.
