Handouts and takers

Acts 20:35

35 By all these things, I have shown you that by working in this way we must help the weak, and remember the words of the Lord Jesus that he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

Satire: Running for office

Handouts and takers

On the road to destiny ... I have myself in tow

The load is getting heavier with each step I take

All the others with me ... must be a bunch of goats

Am I the only sheep who goes for Heaven’s sake?

Keeping my eyes on others and blaming them the same

Seems to lighten my load for I am better than they are

I hope they get my message that life is not a game

And if they want my vote they should give me a car

I don’t want a handout ... just what I deserve

I am far too busy to understand ... and make a living

I live by time-outs ... yes I am well preserved

You can call me fluffy ... an ungrateful human being
