The sadness in your eyes I see is undefeatable

Your thinning rosy lips sewn shut 

Not a word to be said, 

but the sadness your eyes speak at first glance

A look that is already looking forward to the white light

glazed with hopelessness

anchored with fear

Your heart does not welcome what reality has cast upon

Mother dearest
