On the Heights I see

On the Heights I see

A stirring memory

Of the depths below

The ones I often know

Life is as a lake

With its pool to take

And give more to the source

Or run its final course

So whether I am filled

By that which You have willed

Or if I am empty

Still You have sent me

Remember O soul these peaks you stand upon

Know that you will lose, all you deem as fond

And treasure the eternal wealth which truly is your life

Your savior, Lord and Treasure in storms of waves and strife
