Her Day Starts With

The big blue shimmering sky

Wakening the eyes of the morning sun,

Wishing and waiting for the adventures to start.

She sits on the stool stepping into the sun,

The rays raining over her, covering her body.

She wishes,

She prays,

She believes.

As each day passes the shimmering sky

It transforms from sunrise to sunset.

Nothing ever changes, her sky blue, black.

She hopes for her dreams to come true.

Hiding her thoughts in her back pocket,

Keeping the dreams a secret.

Knowing and understanding that

Her dreams will not provide for the life

That her parents want.

Accepting the fact that the big

Shimmering sky allows her

Dreams and thoughts to be alive,

in her mind, in her heart.

Her sky, blue and black.
