Wearing a mask doesnt mean it always have to be a real mask

it can be a mask about hiding your feelings.

to make you seem happy or even be cool

A mask is used to cover the things we cant be

fitting in with a crowd

is one of the major things i know i cant be

mask are used today because of the pressure of fitting in

You just want to be with the cool crowd

you know you arent really cool

but you use the mask to hide the real you

Having a mask, and having friends

youre afraid to show them the real you

because you finally have friends who like you

so you never take off your mask

until you go home

 you hope they accept you

for who they think you are

you cry everyday

due to the fact that isnt you

but your potraying yourself as it is you, for likes and friendship

the world would never know

but you, and that tears you up inside

tempted to reveal the real you

but who would like you after they know youre a phony

if you reveal yourself, you would destoy everything you worked for

so you pretend some more

and just decide to live life that way

it gets you friends anyway
