How to ...

Romans 5:3-4

Not only this, but we also rejoice in sufferings,

knowing that suffering produces endurance,

and endurance, character, and character, hope.

How to dream  … how to reason?

How to intertwine my thoughts?

Is this reality or an illusion

fleeting moments surely uncaught?

What is this binding connection?

Who keeps my life in its plight?

It is not me … or my intuition

for I can do but few things right?

What have wisdom and love in common?

Can one without the other survive?

There is much grief in both conditions

for without them …there is no life.

Is pain the test of love's endurance?

Is suffering anguish the common thread

that weaves the cloth for your final curtain

as day to day you seek that rest?
